Set up a shared mailbox
Give several people one inbox, such as support or hello, and choose who can read and send from it.
Updated
A shared mailbox is one inbox for several people. Everyone with access reads it in Mail beside their own mailbox, and can send as its address. Admins set them up.
Make one
- Go to Settings › Mail › Shared mailboxes.
- Choose New shared mailbox.
- Enter the address, the part before the @, and choose the Domain.
- Give it a Display name, such as Acme Support. This is the name people see on its mail.
- Under Who can read and send, add the people who should have it.
- Save.
The domain has to be connected first, under Settings › Domains.
Change who has access
Open the mailbox in Settings › Mail › Shared mailboxes and change Who else can read and send. Access is for the whole company, so a person sees the mailbox wherever they work.
Extra addresses
A mailbox can take more addresses in Aliases. Mail to any of them lands in the same inbox.
