Read your mail in other apps
Make a password for Apple Mail, Thunderbird or your phone's mail app, and find the server settings to sign in with.
Updated
Your mailbox works in any mail app that speaks IMAP and SMTP. Each app signs in with a password made just for it, never with your Coding Cords sign-in.
Make a password for an app
- Open Profile › Mail and find Mail apps.
- Under Which app, give it a name you will recognise, such as iPhone Mail.
- Choose Create password.
- Copy the password straight away. It is shown only once.
Sign in to the app with your mailbox address and that password. The same card shows the IMAP host, IMAP port, SMTP host and SMTP port to enter.
Take a password away
Choose Revoke beside the app's name. That app can no longer sign in, and your other apps carry on as before.
Shared mailboxes in a mail app
Shared mailboxes you can read appear in your mail app under Shared Folders.
