What's new in Coding Cords

New things you can do, and the improvements and fixes that came with them.

Follow with RSS

Arrange Home the way you work

Press Edit on Home to add or remove widgets (with Undo), make them small or wide, and drag them into the order you want. Each person's Home is their own.

Improvements and fixes

  • Workspace: Pages open with their last data straight away and remember how you left them.
  • Shortcuts: Press ? anywhere for one sheet of every keyboard shortcut.

Write documents together, live

Documents are now edited live: open one with a colleague and you see each other's cursors and words as they appear. The document shows its words straight away, even on a slow connection, and saves as before.

Improvements and fixes

  • Documents: New documents use 1.15 line spacing, and line spacing means what it means in Word.
  • Documents: Tables break between rows, so a page is no longer left blank but for a heading.
  • Documents: Markdown you write keeps angle-bracket words, list numbers and special characters.

Tidy up a canvas in one click

Press Tidy up and the canvas arranges itself along the flow, left to right or top to bottom by its shape. Lines meet facing sides, hop over each other where they cross, and get different colours where they run close.

Book meetings at times people are free

When you book a meeting, Coding Cords shows when colleagues are free (times only, never what they are doing) and suggests times that suit everyone. Approved time off counts as busy. Click or drag on empty hours in the calendar to book, or type the time into the title: "Call with Sara 3pm".

Improvements and fixes

  • Tasks: Quick add reads what you type: "Call Sara tomorrow 3pm #sales @warda !high" sets the date, tag, person and priority.
  • Chat: Search inside a conversation as well as across chat.

Test campaign emails before they go out, and A/B test them

The campaign editor shows each email as a chosen lead will see it, and can send you a test copy. Try up to four versions of an email, changing the subject, the message or both; each lead gets one version and the results show which works best.

Improvements and fixes

  • CRM: One contacts book holds people and organisations of every stage, searched together.
  • CRM: Log a note, call or meeting from the top of a record's timeline.
  • Outreach: Each mailbox shows its warm-up level and the last 7 days of bounces and spam reports.

Send mail later, from templates, with each mailbox's own signature

Send later offers tomorrow or Monday morning, or any time you choose, and you can move or cancel a scheduled message. Save messages as templates and start from them, and give every mailbox its own signature.

Improvements and fixes

  • Outreach: Opens and clicks on campaign mail are tracked and shown on the campaign.
  • Security: Eleven fixes from a fresh review of sign-in, the portal and every public page.

Find anything with one search box

One search box finds everything you are allowed to see, grouped by kind, as you type. It opens near the top of the screen, like Spotlight.

Improvements and fixes

  • Notifications: Choose to be told as things happen, in one morning digest at a time you pick, or both.
  • Accessibility: A skip-to-content link, clearer focus rings, and headings that step down in order on every page.

Use the whole workspace on your phone

Home, Tasks, Mail and Chat sit in a tab bar at the bottom, with More for the rest. Sales, finance, team and settings lay out as full-width rows and sheets you can use with one thumb.

Improvements and fixes

  • Home: On a phone, Home is one column with what needs you first.

Ask Cord, your company's AI, from anywhere

Press ⌘J or Ask Cord at the top of any page, or open Cord's own page in the sidebar. Cord answers from your company's work, drafts, summarises and takes actions you ask for, and keeps one conversation that follows you from page to page. Admins choose what Cord may do in Settings › AI.

Improvements and fixes

  • Settings: Settings › AI answers what Cord does, what it spends and what it keeps, in four cards.
  • Voice: Speak to Cord and your words are written down on our own servers.

Send invoices and proposals, collect signatures, and share a client portal

Draft and send invoices, record payments and log expenses. Send proposals that a client accepts and signs in one go. Collect signatures on any document, with a sealed record of who signed and when. Keep passwords and secrets in a Vault encrypted in your browser, build forms that create leads or tasks, and give each client a portal with just what you share.

Improvements and fixes

  • Team: Time off requests and time reports, with Bill this time to turn hours into an invoice.
  • Access: Choose which modules each member can use.
