Your tool stack, or one Coding Cords workspace
Most companies pay for mail, chat, projects, phones, signing and forms one tool at a time, each with its own login and bill. Coding Cords does those jobs in one workspace, with CRM, invoices and AI, on one bill.

Choose Coding Cords if
You want your team's mail, chat, meetings, projects, files, sales and invoices in one place, with one login, one bill and AI that can see the work.
Stay with your current tools if
You rely on one tool's depth, such as automations in your project tool or marketing automation in your CRM, or you need native phone apps★ or offline work★.
Use both if
Keep your accounting tool either way. Coding Cords sends invoices and records expenses, and QuickBooks or Xero keeps the books.
We run Coding Cords on Coding Cords: our own mail, projects, sales and invoices live in it.
Side by side
Each tool's job, and where it lives in Coding Cords
Rival prices are list prices from each vendor's own page, with the day we read them. Where a part of ours isn't built yet, it carries a star.

Why people switch
What the day looks like with separate tools
Three moments most teams on separate tools will recognise.
Three searches for one client
The invoice sits in one tool, the thread about it in another and the signed proposal in a third. In Coding Cords they share one workspace, and one search box looks across mail, files and more, limited to what each person can open.
Decisions nobody wrote down
A call ends with three decisions and a deadline, and a week later nobody is sure who took the notes. A Coding Cords meeting is transcribed as it happens and leaves notes, decisions and suggested tasks behind.
An assistant that doesn't know the work
A chat assistant bought on its own sees nothing of your projects or clients. Cord sees what each person can open, and asks before anything that can't be undone.
The whole cost
What it costs, in money and in time
Money is one part of the cost. The other is the time it takes to run each tool: a login, a bill and an admin area apiece. Start from a 12-person company with seven common tools, then change it to match yours.

Running it
- Adding a person
- A stack of toolsAn invite and a seat in each tool, each in its own admin area.
- Coding CordsOne form in Settings › Access: their email and a role. The seat goes on the bill at the same moment. Their mailbox can be made in the same step.
- Removing a person
- A stack of toolsRemove them from each tool, then take the seat off each bill.
- Coding CordsRemove them once. They're signed out everywhere and the seat comes off the bill.
- Changing what someone can open
- A stack of toolsEach tool's own roles and permissions.
- Coding CordsSwitch whole parts of the workspace on or off for a person, in the same place. Company plan.
- Seeing what you pay
- A stack of toolsA bill from each vendor.
- Coding CordsOne bill in Settings › Billing, with AI spend shown for each person.
Fair to say
When separate tools fits better
A stack is the better choice for some companies, and we'd rather say so here.
- A tool built for one job goes deeper in it: automations in a project tool, marketing automation and enrichment in a CRM, call queues in a phone system.
- You need apps from the App Store or Google Play★ or to work offline★. Today Coding Cords runs in the browser, on phones too.
- You record meetings★ or calls★, or hold meetings in languages other than English★. Our transcripts are English only for now.
- You need single sign-on★ or SCIM★, or a vendor with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification of its own. We don't hold either yet.
- You pay only for mail and chat. Those two tools alone cost less than a Coding Cords plan.
Moving over
How the move works
You can move one part at a time and keep the old tools running until you're ready.
Bring your mail
Move each mailbox in from any IMAP provider or from an mbox file. Your domain stays yours: you point its DNS records at Coding Cords.
Keep your mail app if you like
App passwords let people read their Coding Cords mail in Apple Mail or Outlook while they get used to the rest.
Bring your contacts
Import people and organisations from a CSV or vCard file, and merge any duplicates.
Leave whenever you want
Mail exports as mbox, documents as PDF or DOCX, and contacts, invoices and form responses as CSV. If a plan ends, the company turns read-only, so people can still read and export, and the data is kept for 30 days.

Questions
Questions people ask
Where do the prices in the calculator come from?
Each one is a list price we read on the vendor's own pricing page on 14 October 2026, billed yearly where the vendor offers that. Every line links to its page. If you pay something different, type your own price over it.
Why aren't HubSpot, Gusto or 1Password in the list?
On the day we checked, we could only find their prices in third-party write-ups, so we left them out rather than guess. If you pay for a CRM or a password manager, add it to your side yourself: the Company plan includes both.
Which of our plans does the calculator use?
Starter, unless you tick CRM or Outreach; then Company. Both are billed yearly and come from our pricing page, so they match what you would be charged.
Is AI extra?
Every person gets a monthly AI allowance with the plan. If someone needs more, AI tiers start at $8 a person a month. Unused AI doesn't carry over to the next month.
What won't Coding Cords replace?
Your accounting. We send invoices and record expenses, but we don't keep the books, and payroll covers pay runs and payslips without tax filing or payouts.
Can the whole team try it first?
Yes. The trial is 14 days of the Company plan for up to 10 people, with no card. Phone numbers and Outreach are off during the trial.
Can we keep our domain?
Yes. You add your domain and point its DNS records at Coding Cords. Mail moves in from any IMAP provider.
Try it on your own work
Start with mail and one project, then bring the rest over when you're ready.
