Send a document for signature
Ask anyone to sign a document or PDF from Files, in order if you like, and follow it until it's signed.
Updated
Any document or PDF in Files can go out to be signed. Signers need no account: they sign from the link in their email.
Send it
- Open the document or PDF in Files and choose Sign in its bar.
- Check the Title and, under Who signs, find people on your team or in the CRM, or type a name and email.
- Switch on Sign in this order if each person should sign after the one above.
- Add a Note for them and, if needed, a Sign by date. The request runs until the end of that day.
- Choose Send for signature.
A page of signature blocks is added at the end of the document. Up to 20 people can sign one request.
How signing works for them
Each signer opens their link, confirms their email with a 6-digit code, then types their name as a signature or draws it, and signs. They can also decline, with a reason that's passed on to you.
Follow it
Signatures, at the top of the Files tree, lists every request under Out, Signed, Closed or All. Open one to see the Signers, What happened, and the document's fingerprints.
Whoever hasn't signed gets a reminder after three days and again after a week. Choose Remind to chase them sooner, or Withdraw to cancel the request.
Once everyone has signed
The signatures are stamped in and a certificate is added at the end. Everyone gets the signed copy, and it's saved in Files beside the original, with "signed" in its name.
