Repeat an invoice on a schedule

Turn an issued invoice into one that is made again every month, quarter or year.

Updated

For clients billed the same each period, an invoice can repeat. Each new one copies the invoice it came from.

Set it up

  1. Open an issued invoice from Finance › Invoices.
  2. Choose More › Repeat.
  3. Pick How often: Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.
  4. Set First one on, the date the first new invoice is made.
  5. Set How many, or leave it with No end.
  6. Turn on Send each one as it's made to email each invoice automatically. Otherwise it waits as a draft for you to check and send.

See and stop what repeats

Finance › Recurring lists every invoice that goes out on a schedule, the next due first, with how often it repeats, the next date and how many have been made. Stop ends a schedule: no more invoices are made, and those already made stay.

An invoice that is already part of a schedule doesn't offer Repeat again.
