Share a project with a client

Choose who at a client sees a project in the portal, and which parts of it they see.

Updated

Each project decides who at its client sees it in the portal and what they see. Only admins change this.

Before you start

The project needs a client. Choose it in the project's settings under Billing. The people you can add are that client's people in the CRM, so make sure they are there with an email address.

Add people

  1. Open the project's settings and find Client portal.
  2. Under People, select Add and choose a person.
  3. Someone who can't sign in yet is emailed an invitation.

To take someone off, open the menu beside their name and choose Take off this project. For someone still invited, the same menu has Send the invitation again.

Choose what they see

Under What they see, switch on the parts you want, then select Save:

  1. Progress: milestones, plan and how far along it is.
  2. Files: the folders you choose, to read and download. Make a folder in the project's Files first.
  3. Meetings: the meetings they're invited to.
  4. Messages: a conversation with the team, in Chat. Switching it on opens the project's channel with the client, linked from here.
  5. Forms: the forms you choose, to fill in.
