Manage a client's access

See who at a client can sign in, send invitations and reset links, and take access away.

Updated

Every organisation and person in the CRM has a Client portal section. It shows who at that client can sign in, which projects each sees, and when they last came by. Everyone who uses the CRM sees it; admins change it.

What each state means

  1. No access: they have never been let in.
  2. Invited: an invitation was sent and not yet used.
  3. Can sign in: they have set up their access.
  4. Locked: their access is held for now.

Let someone in

For a person with No access, select Let in. They need an email address first. People added to a project are invited the same way.

When someone is stuck

Open the menu beside their name:

  1. Send the invitation again, for someone still invited.
  2. Send a reset link, so they choose a new password.
  3. Temporary password, to pass on in person or by phone. They choose their own as soon as they sign in with it, and are signed out everywhere else.
  4. Take away access, when they should no longer sign in.

Invoices and proposals

On the client's record, Show invoices and proposals decides whether that client's invoices and proposals appear in the portal.
