Send a proposal
Write a priced proposal, send it to a client, follow up and turn an accepted one into an invoice.
Updated
A proposal is a priced offer your client can read and accept from a link. Proposals live in CRM › Proposals.
Write it
- Open a deal and start a proposal from it, or press New proposal in CRM › Proposals.
- Under Overview, say what you will do for them and why it is worth it.
- Under Price, add lines with a description, quantity and price. A line's menu can Make optional, so the client chooses whether to include it. Set a Tax % if it applies.
- Under Terms, add the payment schedule and anything else they should know.
- Set Valid until, the currency, and When accepted: Draft the invoice or Send the invoice.
Use Preview to see it as the client will.
Send it
Press Send proposal, check Send to and the message, and press Send. The client gets a link; the proposal moves from Drafts to Waiting, and you can see when it was opened.
Follow up
- Remind sends the client a nudge.
- Revise makes a new version when the price or scope changes.
When they answer
The client accepts or declines on the page, with their name and email. An accepted proposal moves to Accepted and, depending on When accepted, an invoice is drafted for you to check or sent straight away.
