On this page

The short version. If something hosted on Coding Cords (for example a file shared by link or in a client portal) infringes your copyright, write to legal@codingcords.com and we will act quickly.

Sending a notice

Write to legal@codingcords.com with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the work you say is infringed;
  • the link to, or location of, the material;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

This follows the notice rules of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). For the EU we follow the Digital Services Act's notice-and-action rules, and any notice of illegal content can be sent to the same address.

What happens next

We remove or disable access to the material and tell the customer who posted it. If they send a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless you tell us you have started court action.

Counter-notice

If you believe your material was removed by mistake, write to legal@codingcords.com with your contact details, the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court, and your signature.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
